1. Who We Are

Pawfolio is a pet care platform operated by Pawfolio Sdn. Bhd. ("Pawfolio", "we", "us", or "our"). We provide a mobile app and web portal that allows pet owners and co-owners (pet parents) to manage their pets' health records, expenses, and community connections. 2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the platform:

• Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register.
• Pet profiles: Pet name, species, breed, date of birth, photos, and any health notes you add.
• Health records: Vaccination dates, deworming schedules, weight logs, allergy records, and vet visit notes you enter.
• Expense data: Expense categories, amounts, dates, notes, and pet associations — including shared expense splits among co-owners.
• Co-ownership data: Pet parent relationships, access levels, and status records stored in our system when you share a pet with another user.
• Lost & Found posts: Pet descriptions, last-seen locations, contact details, and photos you submit for reconnect listings.
• Service interactions: Bookings, reviews, loyalty stamps, and points earned at partner businesses.
• Device & usage data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, pages visited, and interaction logs for security and analytics.
• Communications: Messages you send to our support team.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account and pet profiles.
• Deliver core features: health reminders, expense tracking, expense sharing among co-owners, and lost & found listings.
• Calculate and display shared expense splits between active pet parents.
• Send push notifications and email reminders for upcoming vaccinations, deworming, and vet appointments.
• Enable loyalty stamp and points programs at partner pet service businesses.
• Display your reviews and ratings for pet service branches.
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Sharing With Co-Owners

Pawfolio supports shared pet ownership. When you add another user as a co-owner (pet parent) of your pet:

• That user will see the pet's profile, health records, and shared expense entries.
• Expense shares calculated for that pet will appear in their portal expense list.
• Their display name will be visible to other co-owners of the same pet.
• You can manage co-owner access levels and revoke access at any time from your pet's settings.

5. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS), analytics tools, and push notification services that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Partner businesses: When you interact with a partner vet, groomer, or pet store through Pawfolio, relevant booking and loyalty data is shared with that business to fulfil the service.
• Law enforcement: When required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction with prior notice to you.

6. Reminders and Notifications

Pawfolio sends reminders for pet health events (vaccinations, deworming, vet visits) via push notifications and email. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings or unsubscribe from email reminders at any time. Transactional notifications related to your account security cannot be disabled.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:

• Your personal profile and pet records are deleted within 30 days.
• Expense share records linked to co-owned pets may be retained for the other co-owners' financial records until they also delete their data.
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
• Data required for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records) is retained for the legally required period.

8. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely immune to breaches — if a security incident affects your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Restrict or object to certain types of processing.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. Children's Privacy

Pawfolio is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us immediately at hello@pawfolio.app and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Pawfolio operates primarily in Malaysia. Your data may be processed on servers located in other countries (e.g., AWS regions). Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Pawfolio after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
